TailIQ Lens Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the TailIQ Lens browser extension, account website, and Plus entitlement service handle data.
File content
XML, JSON, JSONL, and NDJSON content that you open or paste is parsed, searched, formatted, and rendered inside the extension. It is not uploaded to TailIQ or third-party servers.
Local preferences
The extension uses browser-provided extension storage for theme, language, default view, expansion depth, and source-preview limits. File content, file copies, and search history are not written to this storage.
Account, billing, device, and security records
If you use Plus, TailIQ processes your email address, Magic Link sessions, Paddle customer and subscription references, product entitlement, browser type, operating system, device label, device public key, and last-seen time. When the production security-audit control is enabled, a successful sign-in or confirmed device connection may also record the source IP address and an approximate country derived by trusted server infrastructure. These records provide purchase recovery, enforce the three-device limit, support account security and investigate abuse. Raw IP addresses are retained for up to 90 days, are restricted to authorized administrators, and are not used for advertising or profiling. TailIQ does not receive or store complete card details.
Purchase attribution
If you arrive through a TailIQ-controlled campaign link and actively start checkout, the account website stores only an allowlisted source, medium, and campaign identifier with the checkout intent. Incomplete or unapproved values are discarded. These identifiers are used only to connect a completed purchase to a TailIQ content campaign; they do not record extension usage, file contents, visited pages, or browsing history and are not used for third-party advertising or profiling.
Optional sample-completion feedback
On the separate Lens sample page, you may choose an exported HTML comparison report and consent to share compact completion feedback. Your browser checks the report structure and computes its SHA-256 fingerprint locally. TailIQ receives only your account ID, the fingerprint, Lens version, difference-group count, browser family, complete allowlisted campaign identifiers when present, consent time, and server time. TailIQ does not receive the report HTML, filename, source XML or JSON, visited pages, or browsing history. Separately, the page counts only six fixed actions—opening the sample page, each sample download, sign-in start, authenticated return, and successful local report check—as daily aggregates. The growth table stores only the action, site language, count, last-event time, and complete allowlisted campaign identifiers; it has no account or visitor ID, email, IP-address field, User-Agent, referrer, page path, cookie, or file details. The page creates no browser identifier for this measurement. Events may repeat or include bots and do not represent unique people. Shared completion feedback is self-reported, not tamper-proof certification.
Permission use
storage is used for preferences and signed entitlement data. Optional access to apps.tailiq.com is requested only when you connect or refresh Plus. TailIQ Lens does not request browsing history or access to arbitrary websites.
Exports
Formatted or minified content is saved only when you explicitly download it to a location you choose. TailIQ does not receive or retain exported files.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
TailIQ Lens complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through the extension is used only to provide or improve its disclosed single purpose, and is not used for advertising, profiling, or sale.
External-channel link measurement
When you click an official Chrome, Edge, or TailIQ-listed Xianyu link on the TailIQ website, the website increments an anonymous daily aggregate containing only the product, destination channel, site language, click count, last-click time, and any complete allowlisted campaign identifiers. The same link is counted once per browser-tab session. The active window is 180 days; expired aggregates are deleted when the next valid click is accepted. TailIQ does not store an account or visitor ID, email, IP address, User-Agent, referrer, page path, cookie, browsing history, extension usage, or page or file content for this measurement. Public events may include bots, so a click proves neither an installation, an order, nor a unique person.
